We completed a full lower level remodel holding an office, bedroom, finished laundry room, bathroom, and family room with a gas fireplace and large wall of custom cabinets.
Located right off the lower level’s new family room, this new office with pocket French glass doors provides a handsome transition between spaces. With this rooms’ full-sized closet and egress window this home office could re-sell as a bedroom.
The 36” Heat-N-Glow fireplace insert is surrounded by 6” tiles and a custom oak mantel that coordinates with the oak entertainment and storage system built by Orfield’s cabinetmaker. The television can be hidden behind inset pocket doors and the drawers were customized to keep DVD’s and CD’s in specialized compartments. Mini recessed lights are mounted into bookcase units with raised panel doors while glass shelves brighten the space and show off the family’s treasures.
Orfield was great to work with! Ron had great design ideas and listened to my needs. Laura coordinated all of the sub-contractors very well, answered questions and gave great suggestions. All of the sub-contractors were very polite, prompt and overall nice people. I was comfortable giving them access to my house. The built-ins are absolutely gorgeous and the craftsmanship is great. They addressed billing concerns and questions well and gave concessions when justified.
