Summary :

As part of this high-end basement remodel, we changed the layout drastically to solve many issues. The former basement was a maze of wasted spaces. The level of this home now also has two bedrooms/offices with new windows, walk-in finished storage room, a dedicated exercise room with audio/visual features, a family room with new windows and an exterior door. In the family room the old brick 2 sided wood-burning fireplace was covered with contemporary stained concrete and a new gas insert fireplace was installed.

The existing 1st floor laundry room was in a cramped poorly functional location and therefore we terminated it and moved it to the basement, creating a large finished room with plenty of laundry sorting bins, hanging, and folding countertop space. The former 1st floor laundry room area was then converted into a new mudroom with tile floors and custom cherry built-ins in the perfect location off the garage entrance!

The family room has new windows and exterior door, composite wood flooring and carpet, with rough in for a future bar. The old brick 2 sided wood burning fireplace was covered with contemporary stained concrete and a new gas insert was installed. This basement now has two bedrooms/offices with new windows, walk-in finished storage, a finished laundry room with cabinetry, and a dedicated exercise room.

In addition, we removed an old bathroom and installed a new ¾ tiled bathroom in a new location with cherry cabinets, granite countertops, and an accent recessed tile niche behind the glass shower door.
